A native of Queens, NY, Kym Kent is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Degree in Economics, but her real education began in 2004 with the start of her family's homeschooling journey. After spending several years participating in Classical Christian homeschooling environments where she taught elementary level Math classes, Kym added Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. She has since become well known for her fast-paced, high-energy Math classes where she helps her students enjoy mathematics while learning to master the concepts in preparation for higher-level studies. In 2017, Kym co-founded Bridge Elementary Homeschool Tutorial Ministries, which is now eXtend Homeschool Tutorial. In addition to serving as Director, Kym continues to teach elementary, middle and high school math. Of Kym's six homeschooled children, three are college graduates and one is in college. With two more who have a few more years to go, Kym's goal is to continue learning and growing right alongside them, and advocate for homeschooling and other non-traditional educational settings at local and national conferences. While Kym enjoys using her gifts to serve homeschooling families by connecting them with resources their families need, spending the quality time homeschooling affords with her family at their home in Bowie is Kym's favorite thing to do.

A self-proclaimed extreme extrovert, Nicole Kennedy Green enjoys homeschooling in environments where she and her children have ample opportunities to share educational and social experiences with other families. In 2017, she co-founded Bridge Elementary Homeschool Tutorial ministries, which responded to the increasing needs of the local homeschool community in 2021 by extending its focus to include High School and several elective classes and was renamed eXtend Homeschool Tutorial. In addition to Co-Director, Nicole oversees the High School programming.
With over seventeen years of experience educating her children at home and facilitating opportunities for homeschoolers to learn together, Nicole has become a sought-after speaker, workshop leader, trainer, tutor, mentor, consultant, and voice of wisdom in the homeschool community. The author of H.O.M.E.S.C.H.O.O.L 101: Chart the Course, Enjoy the Journey!, Nicole delights in teaching parents to get their homeschool journey off to a successful start, and she is in her element when asked to mentor homeschool group leaders as they work to create an environment for their children to take classes or share social experiences with other families. Nicole’s latest community-building effort, Homeschool Moms Pray!, was created in 2021 to encourage and inspire moms who homeschool their children, and support one another through corporate prayer, during the COVID-19 Pandemic and beyond. Leading that ministry has become Nicole’s absolute favorite endeavor to date.
Although she enjoys serving the homeschool community, Nicole recognizes that her most significant sphere of influence is her family. She considers herself abundantly blessed to be the wife of Damon C. Green, MD, with whom she shares a full and vibrant life in Maryland. They are the proud and very busy parents of Joelle, Timothy, and Noah, and have become fully consumed with their puppy, Zuri.

With a degree in Early Childhood Education and experiences ranging from a Pre-K Teacher to over twenty years as the Director of a local childcare center, Ellen has always loved working with children and families. Upon her "retirement" she began volunteering more and more at her daughter's school. When the pandemic hit, she and her husband decided their family needed a change from their traditional private school setting, and were led to eXtend. In Ellen's words, "To say it was the Lord's leading is an understatement." As they've watched their 14 year old daughter thrive at eXtend, Ellen has grown in her service to our community, first as an in-class parent assistant, to assisting with Parent Duty (yes, she is responsible for sending out those reminders!), to now serving as Assistant Administrator for eXtend. When she is not on site at eXtend, she is enjoying time at her home in Bowie with her loving husband and their amazing 14 year old daughter.
