Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursdays
Please CAREFULLY read the class descriptions and watch the associated video (the YouTube link is beneath the class tutor's name -- all videos will be available by Sat, Feb 13) for those classes you are interested in prior to registering for classes.
Shurley English and Horizons Math are used throughout our program and chosen specifically for their rigorous approach to laying a firm foundation in skills that students need to be successful in High School and beyond. Otherwise, the curriculum for classes offered at eXtend Tutorial is chosen by the individual tutors. Each tutor is asked to choose a published spine/text which may be supplemented by other materials that they source or create. At times, the most economical and readily available text is not entirely ideal, and the tutor may choose to use some of the material as a framework, but not design the course to follow it completely. Also, the authors or publishing companies, and some material in the published texts may espouse ideas that do not align with your family’s values. In that case, tutors may point out issues, or choose to ignore them altogether. While every effort is taken to ensure the required resources do not violate the basic tenets of the eXtend Tutorial Statement of Faith, it is impossible for us to scrutinize the curriculum through the filter of every family enrolled. To that end, we strongly advise each parent to carefully vet the curriculum list according to your family’s standards before enrolling your student in a class. Tutors are not responsible for parents’ displeasure with any curriculum choices after the fact.
All classes are taught in a group setting by qualified tutors in an engaging, structured setting. Because classes are provided a la carte, families have the flexibility of taking as few or as many classes as they wish. You are under no obligation to take the full compliment of classes, but instead are able to tailor a schedule to meet your individual student's needs.
Annual tuition for all elementary and middle school classes is $325 per class, per student (plus any applicable materials/lab/copy fees as specified by the tutor). The exceptions are Music and Art Classes, which meet once a week and are $175 per year plus any applicable material/copy fees as specified by the tutor.
Annual tuition for high school classes is $350 per class, per student (plus any applicable materials/lab/ copy fees as specified by the tutor) except for Advanced Math and the Two Credit Option of Cultural Geography with Music and Art (the ONE Credit option is $350) and the additional Health credit option of Anatomy and Physiology (the ONE credit option is $350). For those classes, see the Course Descriptions document for specifics.
A payment of $30 and any applicable materials/lab/copy fees are due to each class tutor by July 10, 2021 to hold your student's spot in class. Parents are to make payments directly to each tutor in the manner(s) specified by each tutor. eXtend DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY TUTOR PAYMENTS.
The remaining balance for each class may be paid in one of three ways:
1. One Payment (due August 10th - If paying in full, there is a $25 discount EXCEPT FOR HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES, ELECTIVES and STUDY HALL):
2. Two Payments (due August 10th and November 10th):
3. Three Payments (due August 10th, November 10th and February 10th):
**Late payments are assessed a $30 fee per student, per class, payable to the tutor.
**ALL TUTOR PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
