This page is currently being updated for the 2025-2026 program year! Please visit this area for updates to the Class Schedules and Course Descriptions as we get closer to the March 4th Open House.
Orientation Day - Thurs Sept 4, 2025
Classes begin Tues, Sept 9, 2025
Please CAREFULLY read the class descriptions and pay attention to any pre-requisites prior to registering for classes. If you have any questions, please reach out to the individual tutor.
Please read below "A Note About Our Curriculum." Prior to purchasing curriculum, please confirm with the tutor that their list is accurate and no changes have been made. Literature lists are typically updated during the summer.
Shurley English and Horizons Math are used throughout our program and chosen specifically for their rigorous approach to laying a firm foundation in skills that students need to be successful in High School and beyond. Otherwise, the curriculum for classes offered at eXtend Tutorial is chosen by the individual tutors. Each tutor is asked to choose a published spine/text which may be supplemented by other materials that they source or create. At times, the most economical and readily available text is not entirely ideal, and the tutor may choose to use some of the material as a framework, but not design the course to follow it completely. Also, the authors or publishing companies, and some material in the published texts may espouse ideas that do not align with your family’s values. In that case, tutors may point out issues, or choose to ignore them altogether. While every effort is taken to ensure the required resources do not violate the basic tenets of the eXtend Tutorial Statement of Faith, it is impossible for us to scrutinize the curriculum through the filter of every family enrolled. To that end, we strongly advise each parent to carefully vet the curriculum list according to your family’s standards before enrolling your student in a class. Tutors are not responsible for parents’ displeasure with any curriculum choices after the fact.
All classes are taught in a group setting by qualified tutors in an engaging, structured setting.
Because classes are provided a la carte, families have the flexibility of taking as few or as many classes as they wish. You are under no obligation to take the full compliment of classes, but instead are able to tailor a schedule to meet your student's individual needs.
Annual tuition for all elementary and middle school classes is $400 per class, per student (plus any applicable materials/lab/copy fees as specified by the tutor).
Annual tuition for high school classes is $450 per class WITH THE EXCEPTION OF Advanced Math (extended content) per student (plus any applicable materials/lab/copy fees as specified by the tutor).
A DEPOSIT OF $30 IS DUE TO EACH TUTOR BY MARCH 30, 2025 TO HOLD YOUR STUDENT'S SPOT IN CLASS. Families are to make payments directly to the class tutor in the manner(s) specified by the individual tutor. eXtend DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY TUTOR PAYMENTS.
The first installment payment (see the three available payment schedules below) AND any applicable materials/lab/copy fees are due to each class tutor by May 10, 2025.
The remaining balance (after the $30 deposit has been paid) for each class may be paid in one of three ways:
1. One Payment (due May 10th):
2. Two Payments (due May 10th and September 10th):
3. Three Payments (due May 10th, September 10th and December 10th):
**Late payments are assessed a $30 fee per student, per class, payable to the tutor.
**ALL TUTOR PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
eXtend Homeschool Tutorial has adopted the following definitions for plagiarism and cheating as stated by the University of Maryland. https://academiccatalog.umd.edu/undergraduate/registration-academic-requirements-regulations/academic-integrity-student-conduct-codes/
Cheating: fraud, deceit, or dishonesty in any academic course or exercise in an attempt to gain an unfair advantage and/or using or attempting to use unauthorized materials, information, or study aids in any academic course or exercise.
Plagiarism: representing the words or ideas of another as one's own in any academic course or exercise.
In an effort to maintain academic integrity and to provide accountability to our students, our policy for addressing plagiarism and/or cheating is as follows:
First offense- Loss of grade on that assignment, parents will be contacted by the tutor who may offer additional counsel to the parent and student on ways to avoid plagiarizing in the future.
Second Offense- Student will be withdrawn from the class, however, parents are still responsible for payment pursuant to the tutorial financial policy.
If you have a student with unique learning needs requiring specialized instruction, eXtend Homeschool Tutorial may or may not be able to adequately serve you. Please reach out to the individual tutors. Alternatively, please consider Learning With Grace Tutorial, a tutorial for unique learners.
